It all started when a little girl fell in love with colour…

Meet me, kat martin.

I’m a passionate artist and designer living in chilly Ballarat, Victoria. I have two cutie-patootie daughters, a wonderful husband and I was a surrogate in 2022.

Apart from teaching secondary students, I create vibrant acrylic paintings and digital illustrations which showcase my interpretation of the beauty around us. I focus on shape and colour, as well as exploring patterns, plants and flowers. My artwork is adored by people of all ages.

My love of art and design has always been apparent. As a teenager I would dream of owning my own business. I’d visit galleries often, obsess over fashion and dress in lots of colour. I could’t afford much so I’d usually find most of my clothing in Op shops. My favourite early job was working in retail surrounded by clothes and manchester because I adored all the beautiful colours and patterns and feeling the textures of the fabrics.

At this stage in my artistic journey I have begun to apply my designs to products that suit the every day woman. Mine just have a bit of pizazz!

P.S. You may be wondering how I came up with the name Kleg. Well, my maiden name is Clegg, so I merged that with my first name and… Drum roll… we have, KLEG.
